PPI OSCAN 3 is a third phase of the PPI OSCAN program which started in 2014. This Program aims to support civil society organizations in North Africa through implementing projects on the ground and developing capacity development activities. This program will be executed in Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia from 2021 to 2024.

Objective: This program aims at developing the capacities of young CSOs in four North African countries to contribute efficiently to conserving biodiversity and sustainable development, enhance the internal structure of CSOs and build a strong partnership between CSOs, national governments, and international organizations.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is today the largest environmental network with more than 1,300 governmental and non-governmental members operating in 51 countries around the world. Created in 1948, it is considered the largest and oldest organization working for the protection and preservation of nature. The Union represents a platform where governments, businesses, NGOs, experts and local communities work together to implement solutions to address environmental challenges. The IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation, opened in 2001 in Malaga (Spain), aims to encourage and help Mediterranean societies reconcile the conservation of natural resources with their use by adopting a sustainable development model.

Founded in 1994 in Switzerland, MAVA, Fondation pour la Nature, is a private foundation aimed at conserving biodiversity for the benefit of humans and nature, which finances, mobilizes and strengthens the conservation community in Switzerland, the Mediterranean and West Africa. It operates through partnerships with international, national and local NGOs, research institutions, universities, and sometimes government agencies. MAVA is in its final phase of activities and plans to cease funding in 2022.

The French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM) supports innovative projects for the environment in developing countries. Created in 1994 by the French government following the first Earth Summit, it has already supported 333 projects in more than 120 countries, two-thirds of which are in Africa. The FFEM works in partnership with public, private and civil society stakeholders, from both the South and the North, and with other donors and international organizations. The projects it finances generate environmental, social and economic benefits locally. They contribute to preserving biodiversity, the climate, international waters, land and the ozone layer and combat chemical pollution. The special feature of the FFEM: focusing on pilot projects to learn from them and disseminate their innovations on a larger scale.

Al Roaya Al Makanya in Arabic means "the Spatial Vision". A Libyan Engineering Consultancy and Training company was established in 2012 under license No 46550124 and accredited by the Libyan Engineering Professions Syndicate. The company is multi-disciplinary consulting in Geospatial Consulting and Services, Infrastructure and utility systems, Water Resources Studies, and Environment Studies.
